After breakfast at the hotel departure towards Orvieto, one of the most beautiful cities of Umbria that, with its over three thousand years of history, never ceases to be discovered. The Duomo, symbol of the city, is a jewel of Romanesque-Gothic architecture. Among the main works, the beautiful golden mosaics that illuminate the facade, and the Chapel of San Brizio, where there is one of the major pictorial cycles of the Renaissance. In the late morning we continue towards Terni, a city nestled in the heart of the peninsula, rich in artistic and scenic beauty. In addition to the Roman Amphitheater, still partly preserved, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Romanesque tower of Barbarasa and the Basilica of San Valentino, where the remains of the patron saint of lovers are preserved. After lunch free departure to the last stage of the day: Spoleto. Two kilometers of well-preserved walls testify to the ancient greatness of the city, which still retains the medieval appearance assumed under the Lombards, who elevated it to the rank of capital of the duchy and enriched it with buildings, transforming it into an authentic architectural jewel. Here are the places of art, culture and architecture to visit, starting from the Rocca Albornoziana, dominating the city and the valley, S. Eufemia, the Roman Theatre or the majestic Ponte delle Torri. Return to Assisi for free dinner and overnight in the hotel.
