The journey begins in Valdeganga, a small and charming village located on the banks of the Júcar River, whose banks offer postcard-perfect landscapes. Upon arrival at your cozy rural accommodation, you will feel the stress dissipate as you prepare to enjoy a traditional dinner at a local restaurant, a delight that will allow you to savor the essence of the region.

Valdeganga reveals its secrets through a small but enriching hiking trail that will take you to the Cueva de los Moros, a natural viewpoint with breathtaking views of the Júcar valley. After this contact with nature, the walk continues through the Plaza Mayor and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, jewels of local heritage that reflect centuries of history.

The next destination, Beteta, will surprise you with its Rochafrida Castle, perched on a rock that seems sculpted by time. Its church and the Juan Bautista Martínez del Mazo viewpoint, in honour of Velázquez's disciple, complete a cultural journey full of artistic and scenic richness.

Finally, you will arrive in Molina de Aragón, a place where the medieval past is preserved intact. 2nd Day – Valdeganga and Belmonte

After breakfast, you have to regain strength for the day ahead. Today we set off to discover the treasures of Valdeganga. We start with a 2.5km Hiking Route to the Júcar Viewpoint and Cueva de los Moros. A route up to the cave of the Moors, an emblematic cave of the municipality and located in the area of the bridges of Valdeganga with wonderful views. After this adventure in nature we will continue the visit of Valdeganga in the Plaza Mayor. The nerve centre of the town, where the main cultural and sporting events and the celebration of the Patron Saint Festivities in Honour of the Virgen del Rosario are held. We will end our tour at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Inaugurated in 1600, it is a building with a single nave in the shape of a Latin cross. The frescoes painted on the ceiling and the main altar stand out, the Baroque-Rococo style altarpiece. After this fantastic tour of history we will invite you to eat one of the typical dishes of the region, in a local restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Valdeganga and continue our route to the next Magical Town, Belmonte. A town declared a Historic-Artistic Site, its Belmonte Castle, an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) and the Collegiate Church of San Bartolomé has been a National Monument since 1943. You will arrive at the end of the afternoon at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a little before going out for dinner in a Typical Restaurant. 3rd Day – Belmonte and Buendía

Have an early breakfast and head out to discover Belmonte. We start by exploring Belmonte Castle. Of Gothic-Mudejar style, declared a National Monument in 1932, its star-shaped structure stands out. There is no other castle in Spain with this type of plant. Next, we will visit the Collegiate Church of San Bartolomé. Inside, different artistic styles merge, surprising the artistic works that it houses within its walls, highlighting the plateresque grilles of Hernando de Arenas. We will end this fantastic tour with a walk through the Belmonte Mills. On the hills that surround the town, there are numerous traditional mills, somewhat different from the best known, as they preserve their stone construction, without plastering. After this nature walk we will invite you to eat one of the typical dishes of the region, in a local restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Belmonte and continue our route to the next Magical Town Buendía. The streets of Buendía are characteristic, the squares make a nexus of the streets, making concentric circles that extended towards the wall, of which there are still remains and its access gates. You will arrive at the end of the afternoon at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a little before going out to dine on one of the typical dishes of the region in a local restaurant. After a full day, return to the accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

4th Day – Buendía and Brihuega

Have an early breakfast and set off to discover Buendía. We will start with the Route of the Faces. It is a natural area next to the Buendía Reservoir, made up of pine forests and sandstone rocks. In it there are about 20 sculptures and bas-reliefs from one to six meters high. After this fantastic walk, we will visit Las murallas. It was built in the 15th century and consisted of five gates that gave access to the town. Calle del Arrabal was where those who tried to enter Buendía were waiting for permission. We will finish this beautiful tour at the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Forsaken. The Virgin of the Forsaken is the Patron Saint of Buendía. It is a place of great roots and popular devotion located 11 km from the town. It is located in the natural area. At the end we will invite you to eat one of the typical dishes of the region, in a typical restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Buendía and continue our route to the next Magical Town, Brihuega. Its history is intimately linked to the history of Spain. In addition, due to the strategic location in which it is located, some of the most important battles have taken place in this town. 5th Day – Brihuega and Arbancón

Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Brihuega. We begin by appreciating El Castillo, gates and walls of the Villa. Brihuega not only preserves hundreds of metres of the old wall from the 11th-12th centuries in good condition, but also the walled enclosure of its Castle is still standing. Next, we will visit the Church of San Felipe. Built in the thirteenth century, it is one of the most beautiful buildings in the town, it has a Romanesque style of transition to Gothic. The temple has three naves with ribbed vaults. We will end this historical tour at the Brihuega Museum. It is located in the Plaza de Manuel Leguineche and houses different pieces that trace the history of Brihuega. It is located in the renovated convent of San José. Then we will invite you to eat one of the typical dishes of the region, in a typical restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Brihuega and continue our route to the next Magical Town, Arbancón. It is a unique place to enjoy leisure, being able to go hiking or simple walks in nature, especially during the autumn months to enjoy the chanterelle mushroom season. At the end of the afternoon you will arrive at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a little before going out to dine on one of the typical dishes of the region, in a Typical Restaurant. 6th Day – Arbancón y Beteta

Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Arbancón. We start by appreciating the Plaza de los Cuatro Caños. The main square, with an irregular floor plan in which the town hall building stands out, with a clock tower and metal turret. This square is presided over by a large stone fountain. Next, we will visit the Hermitage of Solitude. Recently restored, it deserves a special visit during Holy Week, where the carvings of the Virgin of Solitude, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Acuestas Cross and Holy Sepulchre are kept. We will end this historical tour at the Old Fountain. Another of the unique corners, located on one of the banks of the Salcedo Stream with garden areas and picnic areas from where we will start a small hiking route in nature. Then we will invite you to eat a typical dish of the region, in a typical restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Arbancón and continue to the next Magical Town on our Route, Beteta. It rises in its stone watchtower, whose Rochafrida Castle at the top seems to be part of the erosion of the rock and, at the foot, the population lies with its collection of treasures. You will arrive at the end of the afternoon at the accommodation we chose with time to rest a little before going out for dinner, in a Typical Restaurant. Return to the accommodation.

7th Day – Beteta and Molina de Aragón

Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Beteta. We start with a visit to Rochafrida Castle. On a wall of black rock is the castle of Rochafría. During the nineteenth century, with regard to the Carlist wars, its interior and its defenses were reformed, turning it into a powder keg. Next, we will visit the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. Gothic-style building with three naves from the century XV. Built on an earlier one, it still preserves the eaves and flared windows of the exterior walls of the previous Romanesque style. We will end our historical tour at the Juan Bautista Martínez del Mazo viewpoint. The most famous character in Beteta, we give his name to a viewpoint. A Baroque painter, disciple and son-in-law of Velázquez, his work is so similar to that of his master that it is almost impossible to distinguish the paintings of both artists. Then we will invite you to eat a typical dish of the region, in a typical restaurant. After lunch we say goodbye to Beteta and continue to the next Magical Town, Molina de Aragón. It is a pleasure to stroll through its streets and alleys that still retain that medieval flavour today. Its most outstanding legacy is its castle, crowned by its watchtower, called Torre de Aragón. 8th Day – Molina de Aragón

Have an early breakfast and go out to discover Molina de Aragón. We start by visiting the Torre de Aragón. Solitary medieval keep that is a fortress in itself. Its excellent state of conservation is due to a reconstruction of the nineteenth century. It stands on an old Celtiberian fort. Next, we will visit the Castle of Molina de Aragón. It is the main tourist attraction, one of the most important in Castilla la Mancha and the second largest in Spain. We will end this historical tour at the Monastery of San Francisco. It was built in 1280 as the burial place of the fifth Lady of Molina Dª Blanca. It is currently the house of culture and the cloister is occupied by the Regional Museum. Before the farewell we will invite you to eat in a typical restaurant.
