Day 1: Arrival Istanbul / Trabzon (D)
Following our arrival in Istanbul, we are met at the airport and fly to Trabzon. Arrivel in Trabzon, transferred to our hotel where we will have our dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Trabzon
After breakfast, we will visit the Sumela Monastery, an architectural wonder nestled in a steep cliff. Explore the Hagia Sophia Mosque of Trabzon and stroll along the scenic coastline. Overnight in Trabzon.
Day 3: Trabzon / çamlihemsin
Travel to Çamlıhemşin, a lush green paradise in the Black Sea region. Visit the Fırtına Valley and see its ancient stone bridges. Continue to the Ayder Plateau, where you can relax in hot springs and enjoy the stunning mountain views. Overnight in a cozy mountain lodge..
Day 4: Camlihemsin / Savsat
Head toward Şavşat, a peaceful town surrounded by unspoiled nature. Explore the Karagöl-Sahara National Park, known for its picturesque lake and serene forests. Visit traditional villages to experience the local culture and cuisine. Overnight in Şavşat.
Day 5: Savsat / Cıldır Lake / Kars
Travel to Çıldır Lake, a high-altitude lake famous for its pristine waters and winter ice fishing. Enjoy a boat ride or walk along its shores. Continue to Kars, a historic city near the Armenian border. Visit the Kars Castle and enjoy local dishes like Kars kaşarı (cheese). Overnight in Kars.
Day 6: Kars / Dogubeyazit
Explore the ancient ruins of Ani, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning Armenian churches and city walls. Then, travel to Doğubayazıt, where you will visit the majestic Ishak Pasha Palace, a blend of Ottoman, Persian, and Armenian architecture. Overnight in Doğubayazıt.
Day 7: Dogubayazit / Van
Drive to Van, stopping at Muradiye Waterfalls along the way. In Van, visit Akdamar Island and its historic Armenian church set on the turquoise waters of Lake Van. Discover the region’s rich history at the Van Castle and learn about the famous Van cats. Overnight in Van.
Day 8: Van / Istanbul
After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time by Lake Van before departing for your onward journey. Reflect on the unforgettable landscapes and cultural experiences of this remarkable tour. We will have domestic flight back Istanbul.
Day 9: Istanbul / Fly Back Home
After breakfast, we drive to Istanbul airport for our departure flight back home.
